Shadowrocket Download Buy from the App Store

Shadowrocket is a paid app sold exclusively on the App Store as a one-time purchase. First check the storefront region and verify the app listing, then complete your purchase. If you've bought it before, check your Purchased items first.

Developer: Shadow Launch Technology Limited App ID: 932747118 $2.99 one-time purchase · US pricing; check the App Store for current price Works on iPhone and iPad

Storefront and account region: check the active storefront first

Before searching for Shadowrocket in the App Store, check the Apple Account you'll use to buy it. Shadowrocket isn't available in the mainland China App Store. The country or region associated with your Apple Account determines which storefront you see. Your device's language, your physical location, or opening a product link with a US storefront path doesn't mean your account is set to that region. The storefront path in a link doesn't override your account's region settings.

To check your region, go to Settings → Apple Account → Media & Purchases → Country/Region. Depending on your system, you may need to tap “View Account” and verify your identity after opening “Media & Purchases.” To find the option to change your region, follow the same path and review the requirements and confirmation details shown. This section explains where to find the settings; Apple's account page determines whether you're eligible to change regions and what steps are required.

If you see a message such as “This app is not available in your country or region,” check the settings path above rather than repeatedly searching for similar names. If the product page shows a price but you can't complete the purchase, check payment verification, account status, and compatibility separately. Store availability, payment, and device compatibility are distinct steps. Follow the specific message on screen to identify the issue instead of treating every problem as a failed download.

Verify the app: check three details

Verify the App Store product page, then use the official screenshots to recognize the app after installation. A matching search name or similar-looking icon alone isn't enough to confirm its identity.

Developer: check the full name

Check the developer or provider details on the App Store product page. The name should be Shadow Launch Technology Limited. Search result titles may contain similar terms, so don't buy based on the name alone. Open the product page and verify the full developer name. Make sure you're reading the developer field, not text in the app description.

Icon: compare it with the official artwork

The official icon shows a rocket with a blue-violet outline on a white background, matching the icon shown on this page. Similar colors or outlines can help identify the app, but aren't proof on their own. Check the icon, developer, and app ID together. If only one matches, verify the other two; don't rely on search ranking.

App ID: 932747118

The product link opened by the App Store button on this page ends in id932747118; the number is the app ID. To check a search result, use the App Store's share option to view the link and its ID. Confirm that it is 932747118, then check the developer and icon. This is more reliable than going by the nickname alone.

The two images on the right are official App Store screenshots. Home shows the connection switch, Global Routing, and Connectivity Test; Add Server shows fields for entering server details manually. The screenshots help identify each screen; they don't mean the server details shown are included with the app. Labels and layout may vary in the current app.

iPhone: purchase, install, and authorize VPN access

Complete the App Store purchase and installation before setting up connections in the app. These are separate steps.

Open the App Store product page linked on this page from your iPhone. Check the compatibility section and current price before confirming the transaction with your Apple Account. Check the App Store listing for system requirements; system version numbers in older guides may no longer be current. A cloud icon usually means the app is available to redownload from your account. If a price appears and you believe you bought it before, check Purchased items and the account you're using.

When the download finishes, open Shadowrocket from your Home Screen. On Home, check the server list, selected server, and connection switch before connecting. Installing the app doesn't configure a server for you. Get an existing subscription link from your service provider, or enter details for a server you already have. Review the imported information and select the configuration you want to use; turning on the switch without a usable connection configuration won't connect you.

VPN configuration prompt on first connection

The first time you enable a connection, iOS may ask to let Shadowrocket add a VPN configuration. This creates the network configuration the app needs on your device. Follow the system prompts to authorize it or verify your identity. Continue only if you initiated the request by opening Shadowrocket. Authorization alone doesn't confirm that the server is reachable; also check the server details, subscription status, and network connection.

After authorization, return to Home and check the selected server, the switch at the top, and Global Routing. For rules in the selected configuration, use Config; for proxy mode, use Proxy; for direct mode, use Direct. If this is your first time, follow the Quick Start guide step by step. Then cross-check with Connectivity Test and an actual web request. Don't assume every request is working as expected just because the system shows a VPN indicator.

iPad: redownload with the original purchase account

Shadowrocket works on iPhone and iPad; check purchase history and local configuration separately.

If you bought Shadowrocket on iPhone, sign in to the same Apple Account to find and redownload it from the iPad App Store without buying it again. Before you start, make sure the iPad's “Media & Purchases” account is the one used for the original purchase, then check the product page or Purchased items. Check the App Store listing for system requirements and compatibility; don't assume the iPad meets them just because the app is installed on another device.

An iPad's larger screen may change list widths, spacing, and how much content is visible compared with iPhone. When following this handbook, look for English interface labels such as Home, Add Server, Config, and Settings rather than relying on a button's exact position in a screenshot. Rotating the device may also change the layout, but doesn't change the server details or configuration purpose you need to check.

A purchase record lets you redownload the app, but doesn't mean your subscriptions, servers, or rules are ready on the new device. After opening the app, check Home and Config. If you use sync, verify that the right information actually synced. Each device needs its own VPN configuration authorization the first time you connect; authorization on one device doesn't cover another.

Other Apple devices on the same App Store listing

The compatibility section of the same App Store product page includes Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check the App Store listing for supported devices, system requirements, and whether the purchase is universal. To use the app on one of these devices, check the same product and your purchase status in that device's App Store. The iPhone and iPad instructions on this page don't replace instructions for other devices.

Switching devices and restoring: redownload the app first

Restoring the app purchase, restoring configuration, and authorizing VPN access are three separate steps.

When moving to a new device or reinstalling after deletion, open App Store → Account → Purchased, find Shadowrocket in your purchase history, and tap to redownload it. Account pages may organize this option under an app list, depending on your system; follow the labels shown on your device. Sign in with the Apple Account used for the original purchase to redownload the app without paying again. Don't make a second purchase just because the app icon isn't on your Home Screen.

If Shadowrocket isn't in Purchased items, first check whether the account under “Media & Purchases” matches the one used for the original purchase. Then review your purchase history and check whether the app is hidden. The account currently signed in on your device may not be the account that made the purchase. If your storefront region or account status has changed, review the availability message in the App Store. Your original purchase record can help distinguish an account issue from a download problem.

After reinstalling, check your configuration

Once the app is back on your device, open Home to view your server list and Config to check that the required configuration is present and active. If the information hasn't been restored, import your own subscription or server details again. Get subscription links from your service provider. Whether a subscription is still valid depends on the service; reinstalling the app won't extend or change it.

If your old device is still available, note which configuration you actually use, your Global Routing mode, and any settings you need before switching. Check each item on the new device. Don't share subscription links, passwords, or QR codes in public screenshots. Authorize the VPN configuration on the new device before connecting. Then check the result with Connectivity Test and an actual request; seeing a configuration in the list doesn't mean the restore is complete.

Check the App Store product page and your account to see whether Family Sharing is available. Family membership and the account that made the original purchase are not the same thing; joining a family doesn't guarantee that each member can redownload the app. Check the purchase and sharing options actually shown in the App Store.

Price and one-time purchase: app vs. connectivity service

The US price is about $2.99 as a one-time purchase. Check the App Store listing for the current price.

Shadowrocket is a closed-source commercial app sold as a one-time purchase, with no monthly app fee. The US price is about $2.99; other storefronts show local currency. Check the App Store listing and payment confirmation for the current price, taxes, and final amount. Always review the amount shown before confirming your purchase; the US dollar price in this guide isn't a universal price for every region.

The purchase covers the app itself. Server access, subscription validity, and server details are separate and depend on services you already have. Successfully buying the app doesn't mean a server is available to select; importing a subscription doesn't mean every server is working. Once the app is installed, import your existing details and check the connection results for each item.

App updates are delivered through the App Store. Check the Updates page in the store on your device, or use the automatic update settings available in iOS. If the layout changes after an update, use labels such as Home, Config, and Settings to follow this handbook. This page doesn't base purchase advice on a particular version or update date.

If the purchase didn't complete, follow the payment message shown by the App Store. If the purchase went through but the connection fails, troubleshoot the app configuration and network instead. Separating payment issues from connection issues can help avoid duplicate charges and make troubleshooting more focused. For help understanding DNS, On Demand, or Log, read the Settings handbook.

Purchase and redownload FAQs

Follow the specific message on screen. First identify whether the issue is with the App Store, your account, or the app configuration.

Why can't I find Shadowrocket in the App Store?

Shadowrocket isn't available in the mainland China App Store. The country or region associated with your Apple Account determines which storefront you can access. Check Settings → Apple Account → Media & Purchases → Country/Region, then open the App Store product page linked on this page. Your device's language and physical location don't determine your storefront on their own.

The product page opens, but the download won't finish. What should I check?

Read the message shown by the App Store, then check your account region, payment status, and device compatibility. Also check your internet connection, available storage, and whether account verification is required. If the app is marked as purchased, make sure the Media & Purchases account is the one used for the original purchase before trying to pay again.

Do I have to pay again when I get a new iPhone or reinstall the app?

Sign in with the Apple Account used for the original purchase. In the App Store, go to Account → Purchased to find and redownload Shadowrocket without paying for the app again. Restoring the app and restoring its configuration are separate steps; after installation, check your subscriptions, server details, and current configuration.

If I bought Shadowrocket for iPhone, can I install it on iPad too?

Shadowrocket works on both iPhone and iPad. Use the same Apple Account that made the purchase to redownload it from the iPad App Store's Purchased section. Check the App Store listing for system requirements and compatibility. After installation, review your configuration and authorize the VPN configuration on the iPad.

Can I get it on Mac or Apple TV from the same App Store listing?

The compatibility section of the same App Store listing includes Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check the App Store listing for supported devices, system requirements, and whether the purchase is universal. Verify your purchase status in the App Store on the device you plan to use.

The app is in English after installation. How do I follow the handbook?

Follow the labels shown in the app: Home displays servers and connection status, Add Server adds existing server details, Config manages configurations, and Settings contains app settings. This handbook uses the English interface labels. New users can continue with the Quick Start guide.
